THE STAR

A light went out on Earth for us, the day we said goodbye

And on that day a star was born, the brightest in the sly

Reaching through the darkness with it's rays of purest white

Lighting up the Heavens as it once lit up our lives

With beams of love to heal the broken hearts left behind

Where always in our memories your lovely star will shine

He has not left, he is not gone

He looks upon us still

He walks among the valleys now

He strides upon the hill

His smile is in the summer sky

His grace is on the breeze

HIs memories whisper in the grass

His calm is in the trees

His light is in the summer snow

His tears are in the rain

His merriment runs in the sea

His laughter in the lane

His gentleness is in the flowers

He sighs in autumn leaves

Frank did not leave, he is not gone

'Tis only that we grieve.

GONE FISHING - DAVID RITTER

If someone should ask for me,

Tell them Heaven is where I'll be.

I've finished all my life's chores,

And now I fish on Heaven's shores.

The view is grand and the fishings's great,

But I yearn for you as I wait,

I'll save a spot on the river's bend,

For those that I call family and friend.

But now, head out to sea

And make a cast in my memory,

To all the good times that you had,

With me - your husband, your friend, your pops... your dad.

And if the fish no longer bite,

Or seem no longer worth the fight,

Because it's me that you are missing

Don't worry - be glad - I've only gone fishing.

------------------------------------------------------

If yer wakkin' doon the street,

An' ye've got me on yer minds

A'll be wakkin' in yer fitsteps,

Only half a step ahind.

An' fan it's time fer youse tae go,

Fae yer bodies tae be free

Remember, ye winna' be ga'in

Ye'll be commin' hame tae me.
